established in 2002,
Jane D'Arensbourg’s unique glass-based creations extend beyond the jewelry world. In her Brooklyn studio, D’Arensbourg’s work also includes lighting and sculpture.
Greatly inspired by the unique properties of glass, particularly as a vehicle for light and shadow, D'Arensbourg began working with the medium early in her career. Her process begins with raw, durable, borosilicate glass rods welded with a torch into free forms, from which she handcrafts one-of-a-kind styles that are completed in glass or further developed in rich metals.
Both playful and elegant, her jewelry has a sculptural appeal, and misshapen forms often appear as part of the design. With each piece, D'Arensbourg honors the fragility and inherent elegance of the material, creating timeless jewelry, sculpture and lighting.
